ABOUT
Ajubel (Sagua la Grande, Cuba , 1956).
Designer, illustrator and painter, Ajubel moved to Spain in 1991.
He currently resides in Valencia where he has his studio. He has worked for the written press in prestigious newspapers and magazines in Cuba, Spain, England, Mexico and France, among other countries since 1973.
Throughout his career , Ajubel has been recognized with more than 120 national and international awards, both in design and illustration , drawing, humor and painting. Some of these awards are The Bologna Ragazzi Award 2009 ( the Illustration Pulitzer), the Best of Newspaper Design ( Two bronze medals and an Honorable Mention ) the National Award for Illustration granted by Ministerio de Cultura de España and the CJ Picture Book Awards Korea.
Ajubel also holds conferences and workshops on creation of picture books and editorial illustration.

AJUBEL
Pintor, diseño, ilustrador y comunicador gráfico.
Establecido en España desde 1991, actualmente reside en Valencia en donde tiene su estudio y desde donde colabora con varios diarios y revistas nacionales e internacionales.
A lo largo de su carrera profesional, Ajubel ha sido reconocido con más de 120 premios nacionales e internacionales, tanto en diseño, como en ilustración, dibujo, humor gráfico y pintura. Entre ellos se encuentran el Bologna Ragazzi Award 2009 (el Pulitzer de la Ilustración), el Best of Newspaper Design (con dos Medallas de Bronce y una Mención de Honor), el Premio Nacional de Ilustración otorgado por el Ministerio de Cultura de España y el CJ Picture Book Awards de Corea.
Ajubel también imparte conferencias y workshops sobre la creación en el libro ilustrado y sobre ilustración editorial en prensa.
